Why do you charge for shipping?

Over the last few years, shipping costs have continued to rise. In an effort to keep prices lower on items, we have to charge for our shipping costs for small orders. This means that the more you order at once, the less shipping we both have to pay. If your order is at least $100, we will cover your shipping at no cost to you.

Processing:

Once you have placed an order on our site or once an order is created for you and has been paid you will receive a confirmation email.  Order modification request can ONLY be done within the day of order.

To cancel an order please email us at support@lakai.com immediately.  Once you have received a tracking number your order cannot be changed or cancelled.

Once an order has been fully placed we are unable to switch items or sizes.  So be sure to order the correct sizes, colors, & include the correct address and email.

Please allow 1-3 business days for your order to be processed.  Once it has been shipped you will receive a confirmation email with a tracking number.

Lakai’s warehouse hours are from 10am-7pm PST Mon-Fri.  All orders are shipped from our Los Angeles warehouse.   Any order placed on Friday after 11am will be sent out on the following Monday. 

 

My order didn't process correctly, but there is a pending charge with my bank/cardholder, so did my order go through?

If your order didn’t fully process on our website, it likely did not go through on our end. However, the pending charge you’re seeing on your bank or card account is usually an authorization hold, not an actual completed payment.

These holds are automatically placed by the bank when a checkout attempt is made, even if the order fails. They typically drop off on their own within a few business days, depending on your card issuer’s policies.

How do you handle returns?

Please do not send returns to the address above. To inquire about returns, contact the retailer from which you purchased the product. If that doesn’t work out, you can write to us at “ATTN:Returns” explaining your problem, and if it is within reason we will do our best to help you out. For online purchases from the Lakai website, refer to our returns policy link.

 

I have a shop, and I want to carry Lakai, what do I need to do?

Contact us at wholesale@lakai.com, let us know the city and state where your shop is located, and we will direct you to the sales representative in your area that can help you facilitate your request.

 

What is your warranty policy?

LAKAI will guarantee all of its products from any manufacturing defects. However, consumers must realize LAKAI products are designed and developed specifically for skateboarding, and therefore, LAKAI can not guarantee against the normal wear and tear of daily use. Email shop@lakai.com for assistance with manufacturing defects.

 

What about International Shipping & International Returns?

International shipping is currently unavailable at the moment due to carrier capabilities.

Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a return or exchange.


For all returns and exchanges, Lakai requires the original item to be returned and received at our warehouse prior to shipping out any replacement or exchanged pair. This allows our team to inspect the item to ensure it is still in good condition and meets our return eligibility criteria.

Once the returned item has been received and approved through our inspection process, we will promptly issue the replacement or process the exchange as requested.

 

Return Label Required Before Sending a Return

All returns must be initiated by requesting and using a pre-authorized return shipping label from our return portal or customer service team before sending the item back.

 

Why this is important:

  • It ensures your return is correctly linked to your order.

  • It allows for accurate tracking and confirmation of delivery to our warehouse.

  • It helps us process your refund or exchange quickly and correctly.

 

Manual returns (those sent without our return label) are strongly discouraged and may not be eligible for a refund, as they can bypass our warehouse system, become lost in transit, or arrive without the necessary order identification. Returns that cannot be properly received and verified by our warehouse cannot be processed. 

Returns that are sent without an official return shipping label and/or are manually returned to an address not specified in our return instructions will not be accepted or honored. To ensure your return is processed correctly, please follow the return steps provided and use the designated return label and address.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.


Additional non-returnable items:

  • Shipping costs are not refundable
  • Gift cards
  • Some health and personal care items
  • Any item NOT in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error. Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
  • Final Sale items (if applicable) unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded. - they can be exchanged to a similar price, colorway or design.

Gifts
If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.



Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend return shipments be sent with a shipping carrier that offers tracking service such as USPS, UPS, Fedex. 

Please note: The amount refunded excludes any outbound shipping paid on the original purchase. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
